i know it looks fake but you better believe it because i ate ice cream for the first time in 3 years!! and i ate a peice of pumkin pie! They were gifts so i didnt feel right turning them down.

Last night Gordy was missing!!!! i thought Yulia (our sister) and Ilya (our brother) and taken him but it turns out they just stuffed him under the bed when we were all playing

the ballet was incrtedible!!! this is the outside of the opera/ ballet house. and yes if u could read russian that sign at the top left says "aidia" brittany and i hope to go see it tomorrow.

"So i have a WAY funny story! we were coming out of the metro and brittany had to fix her sock so she paused at a snow bank (the metro is in this outside market so there are people EVERYWHERE) i stood a couple yards away so we wouldn't look suspiscious. (you have to blend in here or the cops will give you trouble) Anyway she's fixing her sock so one shoe is off and she looked pregnant because we just went shopping and she put all the goods inside her coat. oh and its super dark outside cause it's about 7 (it gets dark at 4) while she was fixing her sock this boy who looked 13 or 14 came up and was holding her and speaking russian. i go over to her and grabbed her arm while saying no (in russian) to him. but he kept clinging on!!! brittany kinda just sat there while me and the boy played tug-a-war with her. finally i grabbed his arm yelled NO! and threw him. i felt so mean!!! but he left... i know you're shocked at my amazing masculine ability.. :D hehehe"

this is our apartment right when u walk in the door. the bathroom is at the end the kitchen to the right of where the picture is taken. our room at the end of the hall to the left. the kids to the end and right and the parents is the common room to the right across from that mirror on the left.

This is what we ate for breakfast... with ketchup of course. we had to eat the whole pan ourselves! but we couldn't so this is the left over and once "mama" gets back from her church service she'll probably have us finish it.

This is the home-made ketchup. im actually growing to love it! its kind of sour but we eat it with everything... with rice, pasta, bread.. you name it, we eat it with ketchup

we drink herbal tea for every meal. cause "mama" says its healthy. brit says she'll drink it cause its better then the water but by dinner time we have cold tea and she cant stand it, then she'd rather have boiled water.

Yes its true... they really call me the babooshka! and i would too. look how scary i look! no one would dare to give me lip dressed like this! but it makes "mama" happy when i dress this "warm" Aren't we cute?! yeah we dont wear make-up.... call it lazy, we call it awesome!

There are many people named Heather in our group so they call me "Tami" my suit case finally came in! today we are going to atempt finding church! i can't wait. This place really is amazing. I know i was sent here for a purpose

at the airport in germany u dont have a walkway enterence. you ride a bus to the middle of the airplane lot and climb on in!

I love Ukraine!!! but it is very diffferent. for example- street lines, even though painted on the road are not existant. pedestrains do not have the right of way and street lights are merely a suggestion. It is REALLY cold probably got up to -5 today. You have to bundle up or "mama" wont let you out. She made us put on layer after layer.. and you cannot have bare feet in the apartment or your in BIG trouble. lol. The metro is so fun but you have to wear a scowl. the sidewalks are an accident waiting to happen, they are 8 inches of ice. pretty much the slickest thing ever. I lost one of my bags on the way here from germany and it had my towel, warm clothes, dresses and boots in it. so i was in big trouble for thinking of going outside in tennies. "Mama" gave me some of her boots. And the shower is hilarious! you have to shower kneeling. and today coming back home we got lost! turns out we were one apartment away the whole time but we went back all the way to the metro to meet "mama" oh man...
So i not only share a family with brit but i also share a room a closet and a bed! what sisters are closer than that! our family is incredible! they are so giving. we sleep in there room and they sleep on a fouton in the common room. they fill us to the max at every meal and give us anything we can ask for. i love them and i love ukraine!
